I don't like the kick, I think its too distorted for the song. I like the rest though except when the bass line comes in, might be a bit too sudden.

TheComet responds:

I didn't use any kickers, but there may have been one in the drum beat I used.

RAP, don't talk. The term spitting lyrics isn't found in your raps. You need more emotion when you are rapping. Anyone can talk but not a lot of people can rap. When you see people on stage, you see them spitting rhymes so hard that they are sweating and their neck veins are bulging out. That is rapping. When you see rappers at an interview talking to the interviewer, that is talking, that is what you are doing. Feel it, live it, learn from it. It makes a difference... trust me. By the way, increase the music and decrease your lyrics volume a bit.

Thats the worst review I have got on that track...but of course the other reviews where on an auchual music site.

What to improve...

Background voices are for the background, not to distort the foreground. I felt that I found myself paying more attention to the distorted "Uh's" and SFX. If you don't have the money for a PreAMP and a good MIC then I recommend getting an Audio Utility and making some balances. By balancing I mean lower the background noises and maybe add FX to them (panning, chorus's, reverbs, etc...) and the Lyrics are fine the way they are, thats a good volume for them. Rapping is hard but you will get better at it. I thought the lyrics were okay but that doesn't matter as much as the balancing does. The music was at the volume that the background FX should have been at so try increasing the volume with the music so that way it blends with the lyrics and that would make it flow together. So this is what you need to do...

Keep the rapping at the same level as is.
Increase the volume of the music.
Decrease the volume of the background fills and add FX to them.

Destroya responds:

I'll agree with that, Many of my critics talk about the sound quality...

Much different from Point Blank. Still a little too plain for me. Beat and Melody went nice together although it wasn't real unique. I say the best part of the song is the melody. Add a bassline and take out the sudden stops of the beat, it has the tendency to make people lose interest fast. Good use of the hats and balancing of the background choir. Add a bassline and a filler melody, somthing low and distorted that has a fast pattern.

darkaid responds:

haha once again iight then so the both of them are gonna need some work ok then im aiming for a jazzy beat this time i have one im gonna post it see wut u htink of that

Ok, for one... your bass distorts the track. Try feeling around a bit and put in a comporessor onto your main fx. Fill in the empty area and make it less repetitive by adding a reverb to send 1 then send the appropriate tracks. Try mixing the song up a bit and make it less repetitive. You will be surprised what a low string will do in the background ;). Also try screwing with presets a bit, see what you can create. Remember, no one wants to hear whats been done before. Keep it up.

Good job

You nailed this song bro. Clean kick and phat bassline. Did you use a program to create this track? If so, which program?

AaronR responds:

Hey guys, my buddy (namoroso) and I have been on and off composing music since 2003. We are working our hardest to produce new songs/loops. Thanks to all who have commented and helped us out.
